Even though from an airplane window, I could feel grandness of the Alps. They were bathing in calm sunlight.
I cannot find any borders here. Cannot help recalling John Lennon's lyrics:
"Imagine there's no countries. It isn't hard to do."
But in today's world it seems nearly impossible to imagine no-bordering societies.
Then, what can we say to John's continuing words,
"Nothing to kill or die for,
No religion too,
Imagine all the people living life in peace..."
眼下を覆っていた雲が消えると、何とも美しいアルプスの山々が姿を現してくれました。日の光を浴びてとても優しい色をしています。それまでの眠気もしばし吹っ飛び、ため息まじりな一言：「ああ、いい感じ〜〜〜」
この風景から誰が「国境」というものを想像できるでしょうか。まさにジョンレノンの歌詞の通りです。
“国というものが存在しない世界を想像してみて。そんなに難しいことじゃないよね”
といっても、実際に国境のない世界を想像することは非常に難しいことではないでしょうか。
