There's nothing more to ask/大切なもの

If you have friends who give you smiles for nothing, what’s more you want to ask?

何の見返りなしにお互いを思い合える関係って、なんかいいよね。とっても!

Today,
a girl bumped into her Welsh classmate who just flew back from Beirut but the day after tomorrow he would fly back to Doha. She was glad that she made a quick chat with him.

She went to see her Italian classmate who was leaving Cardiff that evening. She was glad that she could spend sometime before she left and could say goodbye with hugs.

She chatted with her friend from Louisiana over a cup of tea with sliced lemons. She was glad that they had a relaxing chat about this and that and bla bla bla…plus lots of laugh.

She met her a-little-bit senior who already handed in his ‘D-thing’! She was glad to see him before he’s leaving to Dublin for vacation (Vacation! She’d call him an evil!)

She had a chat with her Indian classmate. She was glad that he always gave her the right advice, being impressed that he knew a lot about almost everything.

She came across a Danish classmate, a cheeeerful girl. She was glad that she heard her energetic voice and laughing, catching up with what she was up to.

She had a meeting with her supervisor, the final meeting to have her advice. She was glad that she could discuss with her, but she always said to her, ‘That’s a good point’ and ‘Yes, it’s absolutely fine.’ She hoped she really was on the right track...

Phew… a long day but what a wonderful day! It seems she finished typing up her Conclusion part. Well done! By the way, what time is it?

I can hear birds singing... trains running… well, never mind!

I’d like to be like one of her friends who give her smiles, encouraging her so much.
